Korean Skincare Haul: Etude House, Tony Moly, Skin Food, Missha, Ja Yeon

SERENDIPITY

Hola guapas! 🙂

A couple of weeks ago, I’ve come across this online shop called deal4u.ae(they recently changed the website name into etariq.com), on one of Facebook’s sponsored ads.

I noticed that they have been receiving good reviews on their Facebook page and so my curiosity began to kick in.
Above that, I’m having difficulties ordering Korean skincare/make-up products outside the UAE.
But not anymore!

This was actually my first time to purchase products from the mentioned brands.
I usually get second thoughts whenever I purchase something online.
However, I have high hopes with Korean Skincare Products. I know it won’t let me down.. and my purse.

Tony Moly – I’m Real Avocado Mask Sheet

Tony Moly I’m Real Avocado Mask Sheet – Nutrition @lecamillera

PRICE: 7 AED

I was obsessed with sheet masks during my high school days and stopped buying them when I started trying peel-off masks. I love them both but I think it’s time for me to go back with sheet masks considering that I’ve been pretty much staying up late at night to review my homework reports. Of course, that leads into having dull and tired looking face.

Seriously, I just love the design! I actually felt bad to tear and throw it out after using the mask because it is absolutely super cute. I’m a huge fan of avocado. Avocado is not just a superfood but it is also known to fight aging, dry and dull skin, and a number of other skin problems. So I used this the other night and oh boy, it does work! My face instantly appears brighter and well-hydrated.

Ja Yeong – White Essence Mask

They gave this mask for free and to be honest, I’m not quite familiar with this brand.
But I would be happy to know if anyone of you has tried this particular product. 🙂

Missha – SUPER AQUA D-tox Peeling Gel

PRICE: 44 AED

I’ve been using this product for quite some time now and it still amazes me on how this product works. You can LITERALLY see dead skin cells being removed on your face; as much as I’m disgusted with the particles, I just can’t stop singing praises on this product. LOL

I start with a freshly cleansed face. Make sure to pat try first!.
Then I get an appropriate amount of the gel and gently spread it  on my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, in circular motions. I just keep rubbing until the product dries up and get all the dirt and dead skin forming into tiny particles.
I sometimes focus on rubbing the areas where I have pimples as i’ve noticed that it dries out more quickly.

The results are instantly visible. My face is so smooth like a baby’s butt!
My BB cream glides on smoothly afterwards.
I also don’t have to worry about skin flaking around the sides of my nose. 🙂

I highly recommend this product most especially if you want immediate results.
And if you’re not grossed out seeing dead-skin cells.  😀

SKIN FOOD – Salmon Brigtening Eye Cream

PRICE: 72 AED

I have dark circles that unfortunately hereditary. It gets worse when I don’t get enough sleep. Although concealer is there to help me conceal my panda eyes, sadly, it won’t last long. I won’t forget the time where I decided to skip my eye concealer and just go ‘Au Naturale’.
I went out and meet some friends. At least 3 or 4 people commented about my appearance that day.
“Hey Camille, are you okay?”
“Are you okay? You look so tired dear.”
“Hey, is there something wrong?”
“Are you sure you’re okay? You look so sick.”
At first, I  thought, it was just my usual ‘lack of expression face’ or other would call it “the resting bitch face”.
But no, I don’t usually get these type of comments. Oh now, I know.
IT’S MY FREAKING DARK CIRCLES.
Trying many eye cream products led me to believe that the only possible way to get rid of hereditary dark circles is through a surgery. I don’t think I am ready to do that physically, mentally, and financially.

This eye cream doesn’t have typical ingredients like we see on other brands.
The product claims:
1) The salmon eggs and its oil are good for dark circles make the areas around your eyes bright and healthy.
2) It contains Haloxyl, a dark circle alleviation element, which also strengthen the skin tone, prevent hemoglobin that causes the dark circles, and thus makes the skin around the eyes clear and white.

So, did Skin Food Salmon Brightening Eye Cream worked?
My honest answer is, 60 percent YES.
I’m even hesitating to buy this at first because I  don’t want my face to smell like a fish. Anyways, I just shrugged that stupid thought off. Obviously, I’m just overreacting. Companies would not let their products smell fishy in the first place.

This eye cream does a great job on moisturizing my eye area. It is a bit thick, oily and really creamy. A pea-size amount of this product goes a long way. I use it twice a day, day and night.
The results after two weeks are noticeable. I noticed that my under eyes aren’t that dark and tired looking compared before. I typically put two coats of concealer under my eyes and now, just one coat is enough and I’m good to go.

Etude House – My Lash Serum

PRICE: 18 AED

I am skeptical about this product. Mainly because of the price. I don’t think that a serum this cheap will work on making eyelashes healthier and prevent fallouts. But I was wrong again.

This might not be as good as Latisse or RapidLash that will instantly make your eyelashes as long as Kim Ks, but it does have nutrients to help them grow and make them strong.
It also contains a formula that prevents lash loss especially when you frequently use eyelash curlers.

I only use this every night after my skin care routine. For me, it took me a week to notice some lash growth and now it looks healthier than before. Although you might not like the wand applicator as it doesn’t really help the serum to get into the lashes. What I do IS I use a clean lip or eyeliner brush as it works way better than the wand applicator.

Innisfree – Smart Make-up Blender in Shimmer

innisfree Smart Make-up Blender – Shimmer @lecamillera

PRICE: 27 AED

I haven’t really used this product yet but I did swatch it and I can tell that it is very shimmery. This product is basically a make-up blender.
You can blend it with any type of BB cream or liquid foundation. I think this is a fantastic product if you want to achieve a dewy skin.. or you can even use it as a highlighter.

So there goes my Korean Skincare haul. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I do.
Have you tried any of this products? Any product you want me to try?
Feel free to share in the comment section below.

xo,
Camille ❤
